A Mothers Worst Nightmare!!

Today started out great. We went and got Maddies 1 year pics done which turned out better then I could have ever asked for. We came home for naps which is always a good part of the day and then I was excited to go to the doctor with Jaydan to get medicine to help his poor little face. His adorable little cheeks were covered in painful looking eczema and the stuff I had for it just wasnt cutting it anymore. Also when he was around 1 1/2 to 2 years old he fell into the corner of our coffee table and it got him pretty good just under his right eye. Well a few months after that we noticed he had a hard lump around the same spot so we figured it was scar tissue built up. It hasnt gone away or gone down so we wanted it looked at while we were talking him in for the eczema. So I take him and the doctor checked out all his eczema and told me how to fight it and then he started checking out the lump. He said I hate to tell you this but this is not scar tissue this is definitely a tumor. My heart dropped to the floor!! This could not be happening!! This is my baby!! It all seemed like a blur after that. Of course we wont have any real answers or know how serious this really is until we get it taken out and run tests on it. We go to meet with a surgeon at Primary Childrens on Jan 7th. Its seems like forever away. He is 1 or only 2 surgeons that does this kind of surgery on the face that works for IHC so for that reason thats why Jan 7th was the very first opening and it doesnt help that it holiday season. It just makes me cry even to think about it. Im preparing for the worst but praying for the best. It could just be a simple mass, nothing serious at all but it still breaks my heart. I wish it was me not him. It just doesnt seem fair at all. He is my pride and joy and I hate even thinking of anything like this happening to him. Its now 2 in the morning and I cant sleep just worrying about my baby (I know he is 2 and 1/2 but he will forever be my baby) I just love him more then words can describe!!

My Handsome Little Boy!!

The eczema is all over but if you look under his right eye where the eczema starts you can kinda see a purplish spot. That is the lump.

Oh Ashley I am so sorry to hear this! I want to cry for you! As I was reading this I was just imagining how I would be feeling if this happened to Kaden and I started crying! Words cannot descirbe the kind of things that you feel for your children. One thing I do know is that in hard times and in times of fear like this one the only person that can really bring peace to our hearts is the Lord. Turn to him and he will comfort you and help you be strong! You will be in my prayers! Please let me know if there is anything I can do. If you ever want to talk don't hesitate to call or ask! (I really love talking with you) We love you guys and hope the best for you and your cute family!
