Body World

Saturday Kamrin and I went with some of his family to Body World. It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen in my life! It amazes me how much stuff we have stuffed in our bodies!! It really blew me away! After a while I kept forgetting it all was real and was from a real human body. The thing that I was most intrigued by was the embryos and fetus' they had. From 6 weeks to 9 weeks of pregnancy it goes from a blob of tissue looking thing to a baby! At the end of week 9 it was only about an inch but you could see its fingers, toes, eyes and even its tongue!! It was amazing. Have gone through the whole pregnancy thing it was really amazing to see what really was going on in your body! You of course see pics of fetus' and ultrasounds but those dont even come close to seeing it with your own eyes like that. It was a bit sad though just thinking that they never made it past the embryo and fetus stage of life. They had some pretty nasty things there though! They had a healthy lung and then a smokers lung and oh my!! Talk about NASTY!! If I did smoke I would never smoke after seeing that!! We all know it turns your lungs black and so on but oh my gosh actually seeing it was so sick! Also they had a leg that was from a smoker and again NASTY! Who would have thought it would affect how the inside of your leg looks but it does! Also seeing the liver that was affected by alcohol WOW! It made me see how important it is to take care of my body and appreciate it and everything in it! I will never forget what I saw and what I learned that day! I appreciate the opportunity I had to see that!!
